Wheeler & Associates, CPA, PA was founded in 1999 by R. Lamar Wheeler, CPA. As a lifetime resident of Jacksonville, Lamar has more than 30 years of experience serving small businesses and their owners with their accounting and tax needs. Prior to opening Wheeler & Associates, Lamar served as senior partner of Wheeler, Erwin & Fountain, CPAs, which he founded in 1975. After 25 years of directing his firm to being one of Jacksonville’s larger accounting firms, Lamar recognized he could provide his clients with more personalized attention as a smaller firm and retired from his firm to establish Wheeler & Associates.

Wheeler & Associates offers attentive and personalized services in accounting, auditing, taxation and consultation to small businesses and their owners. With many years of experience working with small businesses, and as a small business itself, Wheeler & Associates has the advantage of a “small-business owners” perspective in conducting its engagements. This combination of experience and owners perspective has been successful in forming long-term client relationships.

Wheeler & Associates holds professional memberships in both the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, the firm recognizes its responsibility to support the community where it works and lives.
